My Mac already is pretty fast (much faster than any Windows PC I have ever used) so it is hard to believe that Apple has managed to improve the speed so much. And although I have plenty of extra hard drive space the extra space Snow Leopard will free up is welcomed.

Snow Leopard is Here =)
Apple has finaly announced that Snow Leopard will ship on Friday the 28th. Of course that happens to be the day that I leave for Bloomsburg. I will have to wait until I come home on September 4th to give it a try.

Balsamiq Mockup === Awesome!!!
I have been using FogBugz (the online free version) for a few months now. It is very helpful, and works great. The folks at Fog Creek recently released a new version of FogBugz so I have been playing around with some of the new features. I have just realized that there is a plugin feature (I think this existed before but I was slow noticing it). I browsed through some of the plugins and installed Balsamiq Mockup. After playing with Balsamiq for awhile I started to explore the Balsamiq site. I played with their application for a few more hours and then I downloaded (and purchased) their desktop app which works on Mac & PC (and I think Linux too). If you are still using a pen and paper to draw up your next project do yourself a favor and try this out. It only costs $79 for a single license (email them first and you may get them to give you a discount- they did for me). Even if you dont need this for a project I still find it fun to use.

About Time
Well I created this blog several months ago and I have yet to use it. So today is the day. I finally decided to write something on it. I know this is pretty much pointless rambling about nothing (but if you have ever talked to me in person that is what I do best).
I spent most of today washing dishes and clothes and packing them into boxes to take to college. At Albright I was on the 1st floor so I didn't have to haul my junk far (I tend not to be a light packer). But at Bloom I am on the 3rd floor so it is going to be a long haul.
While sitting at my computer (watching Ace of Cakes on Fancast) I came up with an idea for the new design of my website (jacurren.com). I have started trying to make it several different ways (there are 2 versions using tables and 2 using CSS) none of which I am happy with. I also created a new logo which I think I am pleased with. I hope to find enough time over the next 2 weeks to read up on some CSS and try again that way.
